GPS tracking for vehicles

For moving screens, such as those in taxis and buses, there is a special option that can be enabled to continuously update the GPS location of a screen.

This is very useful for geofencing where items are selectively displayed or skipped based on location.

To enable the advanced GPS data collection, add the following into the screen data:

collectGps=true

You must also ensure the DS Loader app has permission to access the location.

1. Open Android Settings.
2. Navigate to Apps.
3. Locate DS Loader.
4. Locate the permissions section.
5. Enable the Location permission.

The GPS location will automatically update on the device and be used in location conditions. The server will also receive this data in the display reports and screen data. Be aware that the server receives this data in batches approximately every 2 minutes.
